Introduction
Ancestry is our personal connection to history, and those who came before us. It is our family, our cultural heritage, stories passed down through the generations, where we are from, the place, the time, the language, food, and religion. In this unit students will look to the past to explore the present, they will examine their own personal ancestral history and identity through visual art and the projects they will create, and they will construct personal narratives to investigate through knowledge, stories, and memory, past and present experiences.
